The Richard Kent Style

Carrying on with it’s super collectable and highly rated Rare Mod series of seven inch E.P.s Acid Jazz is about to present this four tracker from 60’s Beat group The Richard Kent Style.

Once again coming in a brilliantly authentic style 60’s sleeve, the fourth EP in the series hits the shops in January 2011, following on from Steve Marriot & The Moments, The Fleur De Lys and The Muleskinners.…

Between 1966 and 1969 The Richard Kent Style released five scorching singles. Both sides of their third record on Columbia from 1967 are featured on this EP; Marching Off To War’ (a Cropper/Floyd composition written for William Bell) and ‘I’m Out’. Their cover of The Contours ‘Just A Little Misunderstanding’ - only available on Rare Mod 2 and the previously unreleased acetate ‘You Can’t Keep A Man Without Love’, make up four slabs of Memphis driven soul, guaranteed to make you move! I’m out, way down and out.

Side 1.

I'M OUT.
YOU CAN'T KEEP A MAN WITHOUT LOVE.

Side 2.

MARCHING OFF TO WAR.
JUST A LITTLE MISUNDERSTANDING.
